Internal Knowledge Assistants

One question. The answer, with its source.

Karven builds internal knowledge assistants for European companies: AI systems that search across your CRM, email, documents, and policies, and answer in plain language with the source attached — so the right answer is seconds away, wherever it lives.

What an internal knowledge assistant does

Company knowledge lives in many places at once — the CRM, shared drives, email threads, wikis, policy PDFs, and the heads of a few experienced people. An internal knowledge assistant connects those sources and lets anyone ask a question in plain language: What is our refund policy for enterprise clients? Which contracts renew this quarter? It answers in seconds, and every answer cites the document it came from.

This is retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) built for production: the assistant searches your actual, current documents at question time, so answers reflect today's policies rather than a training snapshot. Permissions carry through — people see answers only from documents they could already open.

We design the assistant around your team's real questions. During the audit we collect the hundred questions people actually ask, and the system is evaluated against them before launch — so usefulness is measured, not assumed.

Cited answers. Every response links to the document behind it.

Access-aware. Your existing permissions apply to every answer.

Trilingual. Works in English, French, and Italian.

How we build it

01

Knowledge audit

We map where knowledge lives — drives, CRM, wikis, inboxes — and collect the real questions your team needs answered.

02

Connect & index

We connect the sources with permissions intact and build a retrieval index that keeps itself current as documents change.

03

Assistant & evaluation

We build the assistant, tune it on your question set, and measure answer quality with your team before launch.

04

Rollout & adoption

The assistant lands where people already work — chat, intranet, or a web app — with usage reporting so you can watch it earn its keep.

Where a knowledge assistant changes the day

Sales and client questions

Account history, past proposals, and pricing precedents surface in seconds, so client-facing teams answer with confidence on the first call.

Policy and compliance answers

HR, legal, and operations policies become askable. The assistant quotes the current version and links to the exact paragraph.

Onboarding new joiners

New team members get a colleague who has read everything — processes, tools, and history — and answers around the clock.

Engineering and operations docs

Runbooks, specifications, and past incident notes become searchable in plain language — in English, French, or Italian.

FAQ

Knowledge assistants, answered

How is this different from an enterprise search tool?

Search returns documents; an assistant returns answers. It reads the relevant passages across sources, synthesises a response, and cites where each part came from — so you verify in one click instead of opening ten results.

Will the assistant make things up?

Hallucination is an engineering problem with known controls. The assistant answers only from retrieved documents, cites its sources, and says so when the answer is missing from your knowledge base — that last behaviour matters as much as the right answers.

How do you handle access permissions?

The assistant inherits your existing permissions. Retrieval is filtered per user, so someone asking about salaries gets answers only if they could already open the salary documents.

Which tools can it connect to?

Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion, Confluence, your CRM, email, and most systems with an API. During the audit we map your sources and confirm the connectors before any build starts.
